This is the true first edition of his latest Matthew Scudder novel and is limited to 100 numbered copies $150.00, and 26 lettered copies $275.00

There has been a tremendous response to this exciting limited edition, but we still have a few copies left. If you have not already ordered your copy, get in touch with us soon.

Marcia Clark signed copies of Guilt By Association. This first novel by former prosecutor Clark introduces DA Rachel Knight, a member of the elite Special Trials Unit, a group of handpicked prosecutors that handles only the toughest and most sensitive cases in the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. Well, Clark certainly knows what that’s all about and her book has received terrific reviews from James Ellroy and David Baldacci. $25.99

Critically acclaimed author Arthur Phillips stopped by to sign The Tragedy of Arthur. The protagonist, Arthur Phillips, is a novelist whose father, a con artist, shares with him a secret that he’s kept for years: a previously unknown play by William Shakespeare entitled The Tragedy of Arthur. Is this the Bard’s last great gift or is it the last great con of Arthur’s father? This novel explores the tension between storytelling and truth telling and includes, in its entirety, the lost five-act play. An Unclassifiable Crime Club Main Selection. $26.00

We sold out of Black Orchid Blues by Persia Walker on the night she was here signing. But she came back this week to sign more first editions of her novel set in 1920s Harlem and featuring society columnist Lanie Price. A Trade Paperback original. $15.95

We’re delighted to have finally receive signed copies of Satori, Don Winslow’s novel based on Trevanian’s Shibumi. Many of you pre-ordered this and we have copies for you. If you did not preorder, we have very few copies left, so first come, first served. $25.99

SIGNED FROM THE U.K.

Blood Count by Robert Goddard is here. Thirteen years ago surgeon Edward Hammond performed a life-saving operation on Serbian gangster Dragan Gazi. Now Gazi is standing trial for war crimes at the international court in The Hague for slaughtering thousands in the Balkan civil wars. In return for keeping Hammond’s secret, plus another secret that Hammond didn’t even know he had, the Gazi family has a favor to ask! We probably don’t have nearly enough copies of this one. $38.00

Hanging Hill is the latest from Mo Hayder. What if you found yourself divorced and penniless? With no skills and a teenage daughter to support? What if the only way to survive was to do things you never thought possible? That’s Sally’s dilemma. Her sister, Zoe, is the opposite. She’s a detective inspector who loves her job. No-one would guess that she hides a crippling secret which, if exposed, may destroy her. A British Crime Club Main Selection. $40.00

Stagestruck is the latest Peter Diamond mystery from Peter Lovesey. Diamond’s latest case is set at The Theatre Royal in Bath, a two-hundred year old theater steeped in tradition. Now that tradition includes murder. $50.00

A Note about our Descriptions

The subject of First Editions came up a couple of this time this week. When we list first editions, do we mean first printings? Yes we do. We will always specify if the book is a later printing.

All new books have dust jackets unless we specify otherwise. When we describe rare books we will always note if a book has a dust jacket.

We welcome any questions you may have.
