We are expecting delivery of this book within the next couple of weeks.

GIFTS FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Since December is usually a pretty slow month for signings, we thought we would list some books, both signed and unsigned, to help you with your holiday shopping. In some cases, we only have one copy of a title, so this will be on a first-come-first-served basis:

London Boulevard by Ken Bruen is the first hardcover edition of this title. Ken wrote this in 2001 and it was published, in the UK as a paperback original. It remains my favorite Bruen book. This is not signed, nor is it likely to be. Ken got married this week ! Congratulations Ken. $24.99

Tony Hillerman’s Landscape written by Anne Hillerman and photographed by Don Strel is a wonderful tour through the countryside in which the late author set his marvelous mysteries. A beautiful colorful tribute. $28.99

The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson is the second book in the trilogy. If you aren’t hooked on this series yet, you soon will be! This is the U.S. Edition. $25.95

Oh, have we mentioned The Lineup by Otto Penzler lately? We are almost out of first editions of this Best Book of the Year (according to Janet Maslin of the New York Times), and we have no problem getting a signature! $25.99

New York by Edward Rutherfurd is a novel (Rutherfurd is known more for his non-fiction) that moves through four centuries of this great city’s history. Rutherford is known for his in-depth research, and this sounds like a terrific historical novel. U.K. Edition. SIGNED. $48.00

The Secret Speech by Tom Rob Smith is the second in the series set in the Soviet Union. This is a U.K. edition and it is SIGNED. $33.00

A Duty to the Dead by Charles Todd introduces Bess Crawford, a nurse in World War I. SIGNED by both authors: Todd and his mother. $24.99

The bibliophile in your life might appreciate The Angel’s Game by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. It tells the story of David Martin who makes his living by writing sensationalist novels under a pseudonym. A novel of secrets, passions, and the magic of books. SIGNED. $26.95

JUST IN

A couple of SIGNED copies of Last Night in Twisted River by John Irving have arrived from the U.K. This is the true first edition and, as you probably know, Irving is a difficult signature. $75.00

And now for something completely different....

We are Winter Cleaning right now and we have found a vast accumulation of Magazines. Even though the books featured and reviewed are older, these magazines make wonderful reading as you sit in front of your blazing log fire...

$2.00 each or 4 for $5.00
