Soon Kate is running for her life. A Thriller/Espionage Club Selection. $26.00

Camilla Lackberg is being called the new Swedish sensation (a reference to the success of Stieg Larsson’s books) and The Ice Princess is her American debut. When Erika Falck returns to her hometown , she discovers that her childhood friend is dead. Erica wants to write a book about their friendship, but detective Patrik Headstrom is following his own suspicions about the case. Despite ordering many copies, we are rapidly running out since customers couldn’t wait for the book to be signed, so get in touch soon. $25.95
James Mauro was here earlier this week and signed more copies of Twilight at the End of the World, his account of the 1939 New York World’s Fair, the dream built atop the notorious garbage dump in Corona, Queens. That world’s fair was plagued with bad weather, power failures, and bomb plots. $28.00
Dark Harbor: The War for the New York Waterfront, by Nathan Ward, tells the story of the Mafia-controlled waterfront which has been portrayed in the movies with, apparently, little exaggeration. Ward manages to portray an age which was, at once, more corrupt and more innocent than our own. $26.00.
