Sally's Weekly Update for 09/03/10!

Just returned from two glorious (and scorching) days at the U.S. Open - Tennis that is.

Watched the Russian, Azarenka, faint on the court, and the U.S. hopeful Capra beat the number 7 seed, Raznai.

Oh, back to work....

Here's the latest from The Mysterious Bookshop

SIGNED FROM THE U.K

Started Early, Took My Dog is the latest mystery from Kate Atkinson featuring PI Jackson Brodie . This is the fourth in this wonderful series. A British Crime Collectors Club Selection. $48.00

Room by Emma Donoghue is not a mystery in the true sense of the word. It is the story of five-year-old Jack, who tells the story of his life with Ma in an eleven feet by eleven feet room. What he doesn’t realize is that there is a world out there. This is a devastating and uplifting story which is receiving much attention in the U.K. and which is already long-listed for the Man Booker Prize. $35.00

The Cobra is the latest thriller from Frederick Forsyth. Ex-CIA Special Ops Paul Devereux is given the task of putting the global drug cartels out of business. And failure is not an option. A dirty war is about to get a whole lot dirtier. $48.00

Red Station by Adrian Magson is the first in a new thriller series featuring Harry Tate. When Harry, an MI5 operative, is involved in a fatal shooting and risks embarrassing the agency, he is sent to an outpost known as Red Station. Harry is told to keep his head down and to do his job. What he is not told is that the Russians are coming, and that Harry will not be coming back. $50.00
