Author of the Week: EMMA LATHEN

EMMA LATHEN

No one ever wrote detective fiction set in the world of business and finance with as much continued success as the pseudonymous Mary J. Latsis and Martha Henissart, who met while studying at Harvard. All of their books feature John Putnam Thatcher, the senior vice-president of a major bank. The Times of London said that Lathen "is a sort of Jane Austen of the detective novel, crisp, detached, mocking, economical."
