As some of you may know, Jeffery Deaver is the author of the next James Bond novel which will be published in the Spring. The true first edition of this thriller will be the UK edition and we’d like to make sure we order enough signed copies of that edition. Please let us know if you’d like to reserve a copy of the UK edition. We will, of course, have signed U.S. editions a few weeks later, but we do need to know numbers for the UK edition. This will NOT be a Crime Club selection.
The latest Henning Mankell will also NOT be a Crime Club selection. Mankell has said that this will be his last Kurt Wallander mystery. In any case, we’d like to see if we have ordered enough of the US edition (the true first edition) of The Troubled Man.

Ian had to twist my arm to read The Reapers Are the Angels by Alden Bell! This is a post-apocalyptic trade paperback original and I’m not keen on the living dead, much as I was lukewarm about vampires until Suzy McKee Charnas, Kim Newman and Anne Rice wrote extraordinary books featuring those bloodsuckers. But I digress! I read The Reapers Are the Angels in one sitting. It is an extraordinary story, superbly written. Alden Bell’s writing is being compared to Flannery O’Connor, William Faulkner, Cormac McCarthy by reviewers. This is Southern gothic style at its best. Don’t miss it. $15.00
